Get to Know West Town
West Town is a fairly large community just northwest of Chicago’s Loop. It is a group of smaller neighborhoods that include East Village, Noble Square and Ukrainian Village.
It’s a growing, developing area, thanks to its excellent location west of downtown, and proximity to Chicago’s excellent highway system. Commuters have easy access to the Eisenhower Expressway (Route 290) and the Kennedy Expressway (Routes 90/04).
The neighborhoods of East Village, Noble Square, and Ukrainian Village are being redeveloped into modern living environments, complete with new retail stores and other local amenities.
What to do in West Town
For entertainment, many residents head to trendy Wicker Park. Plus, West Town has many eclectic restaurants and entertainment venues within its sprawling boundaries. There are also many public parks offering opportunities for team sports and recreation.
West Town’s Distinctive Housing
West Town primarily consists of two- and three-flats. Renovated apartments and single-family homes can also be found, as well as some new brick and limestone constructions. It is still possible to find homes with great views of the city at attractive prices, all within 10 minutes from downtown.
