In addition to the picturesque views afforded by its riverside location, Mayfair is also close to the La Bagh Woods Forest Preserve with 600 acres of picnic groves, open grasslands, heavy forest and restored prairie. Gompers Park is also nearby with 39 acres that include experimental wetland and recreational facilities.
